Why Suicide Loss Grievers Need
 Trauma-Informed Support

There's no denying that losing our loved ones to suicide is beyond devastating and a very isolating place to find ourselves in.

Plus, the relationship between you and your loved one is something no-one else can completely understand (because it's unique between them and you) and the overwhelming pain, heartache and loss is life changing.  There's us 'before' ...and us 'now'.  We change.  Our world has changed. Our wellbeing is in shatters. Relationships suffer. Work suffers. We are exhausted, lost and desperately wishing this wasn't true.

But, my friend, it tragically is...

I'm so sorry.

What do we do now? How we do carry on living without them?

How do we keep going without being in therapy for the rest of our lives or taking medication or numbing the pain with alcohol or other means?

it's your grief; your journey

Every one of us grieves differently.  We all live with different circumstances and have different beliefs and values. And just like you and me, every therapist/coach is completely unique too.

If you've read my book (What Suicide Left Behind), are a member of my Paradisium Community for Suicide Loss Survivors or follow my grief journey on social media and what I write resonates with you, then I truly believe I can help you even more.

What Is The Grief Wellbeing Course?

I've packaged together proven ways to help with the effects of trauma because I know how frustratingly difficult and upsetting it can be not knowing where to turn to or who can help.

I am a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Master Practitioner of Neuro-Linguistic-Programming (NLP), Practitioner of The Havening Techniques, Psychosensory Therapies and qualified in many other similar modalies.  I have trained in Trauma Therapy, Understanding the Suicidal Mind and obviously (and very sadly) have Lived Experience.  I founded 'Paradisium' to support others bereaved by suicide loss and wrote the book 'What Suicide Left Behind'.

My darling brother Stuart, died by suicide, in June 2020.

His legacy of helping others and wanting the world to be a happier, kinder, nicer place for everyone is now my mission.

No waiting list & faster results

As soon as you buy my programme, you'll get instant immediate access to start making changes right away. You can also connect with others on the programme should you wish to make new friendships.

Unlike some methods and techniques, you'll be able to experience the benefits right away as you follow the process and apply the changes.

the wellbeing for life programme

Looking after our mental wellbeing is not just a 'one off'. We need to maintain the changes made and ensure we can build upon those for long-term resilience.

This is why, after the initial support of clearing the trauma and the effects of trauma, you will have the continued support of maintaining your mental wellbeing every single day.

less expensive than going private

Even if you spend as little as £60 on a therapy session (the average cost is around £100 per hour), you'll ultimately be seeing the therapist for months, if not years, and this adds up. The average number of sessions for talking therapy/CBT etc is 12 so this equates to £720. The average number of sessions for Advanced Trauma Therapy (The Havening Techniques/Rapid Transformation etc is 2-3 sessions) and varies from £600 to £1000.

wake up without anxiety

Starting the day feeling anxious is exhausting. But there are ways to stop this from happening and you'll learn how to do just this in the programme.

stop feeling triggered

Even the 'T' word can be negatively and emotionally activating for many.  But how would you feel if you were no longer activated by certain words, phrases, places, sights, sounds?  What difference would this make to your everyday life?

make better choices

Our wellbeing, our physical and mental health has been massively knocked and then some.  It's crucial that we improve our wellbeing, making better choices and decisions...and clear the brain fog.

What is Trauma?

When an event or situation emotionally impacts us in a negative or devastating way, our brain encodes (stores) this as a traumatic event.

It can be something completely out of the blue (unexpected).  It can be something that happens to us over time (weeks, months, years).  It can feel completely overwhelming.  Other people might think it's nothing major, but to us it's significant and life changing.

  • Trauma is something we feel is inescapable (whether that's real or perceived).  We can't get away from (physically or emotionally) or change what's happening, or has happened.  We feel unable to control the situation.
  • The meaning of the 'event' or 'situation' or 'experience' is impactful to us.
  • The state of our wellbeing at the time may already be anxious, stressed, exhausted, overwhelmed or there are other factors going on in our life which means our emotional cup is already quite full.

When the 'event' is the loss of a loved one, grieving the past present and future, and grieving the loss of 'us' (before they died and after they died), coupled with the unanswerable questions, the 'what ifs', the guilt, the stigma, the why's etc, we experience 'Traumatic Grief' or 'Complex Grief'.

...and this is why it's so important that we find a way to release the trauma from our grief.  Because grief is a natural process and one we need to experience and learn to live with.

We will always miss our loved one(s) and we will always grieve them.

Grief is Love and Love Never Dies.

Why An Online Course?

Why? Because this comes from my grieving heart with the number one intention of helping other suicide loss survivors, like you, to live better with grief WITHOUT the trauma and continuous pain.

It's made to be available to you 24/7/365 with a blend of videos, text, resources, workshops and group calls so that you feel supported to look after your own wellbeing.

I will guide you through each step of the various techniques that I have used on myself to free myself from the traumatic pain and all its consequences of losing my only sibling to suicide in 2020.

By doing this, you'll be able to grieve, remember and honour your loved one in a more nurturing way...and you may even discover a new found purpose.

The Misinformation About Therapy

No single therapy 'works' for every single person.

Why is this?

It's because it's how the THERAPIST works rather than how the THERAPY works.  If you don't 'connect' with the therapist then it's not really going to work for you.  And just because the NHS choose a particular style of therapy to offer patients, this doesn't mean it's the best (or only option) by any means. Therapy is very much subjective.

Every single therapy session is completely unique; just like you.

I started learning a 'favoured' trauma therapy many years ago.  During this time I was a 'client' for a therapist who was fully trained. The entire experience was awful!  I found the process of having to re-live a past trauma unbearable and needless to say, I don't use this method with my clients. I know some people who say this type of therapy has worked wonders and many others who say it made them feel worse. I've since trained in other modalities that are backed by science, open-minded doctors and most importantly, by the thousands of people whose lives have positively changed as a result.

They key is finding the right therapist/coach/practitioner rather than focussing on just the type of therapy.  Most top therapists will train in multiple techniques/methods and are therefore in a better position to work with YOU rather than work with just one method.

What Others Say After Reading My Book

Helped to normalise my feelings

This was the first book I came across after my brother died by suicide. This book gripped me from the beginning and I couldn’t put it down. The book provides such good support and guidance for your own grief journey. It helped to normalise my feelings, behaviour and emotions and provided good insight into the grief journey ahead of me.

Profound support

To know that all my turbulent emotions had been experienced by someone else going through suicide grief gave me profound support. Suicide grief is raw, painful, frightening and haphazard - this book made me feel I had a best friend sitting next to me as I read it.

Remember Them With More Love & Hope Than Trauma & Pain

Suicide Loss is a Complex Grief

Losing a loved one (or loved ones) to suicide is life changing.  It can not only impact on your wellbeing (both physical and mental health) but also your relationships, your career, your parenting, your social life, your finances, your confidence, your faith, your emotions....the list is endless.

Our grief is the testament of our love, so as we know, the stronger we grieve, the stronger we love them.  BUT, grief doesn't mean we have to hold onto the pain and suffering.  We can find ways to lessen the pain.  And we certainly can find ways to release the trauma.

Grief is made harder when life around us feels difficult. When we are stressed, worried, anxious, fearful, afraid, it all seems too much to bear.  I know, because I've been there.  My brother's passing was completely out of the blue as there was no history of any mental health issues.  He was (and still is) my only sibling.  He was there from the moment I was born and he left 46 years and 47 days later in June 2020 when he was 48 years old.

I was perimenopausal at the time, an exhausted sleep deprived mum of twin toddlers and in the midst of Covid lockdown, trying to work and run a busy household and managing a chronic illness.  And then, bam! The worst happened and suddenly I felt very alone in trying to figure out how to take my next breath. The trauma and shock stopped me from properly grieving, so it got bottled up.  One thing I've now learnt from my brother's passing is never to bottle anything up (no matter what it is) and grief needs to flow freely.

I've created this programme to share with and teach you what has helped me the most.  The steps I've taken and the changes I've made, and, as a result, I'm no longer experiencing the pain that I felt in the first 18 months.  This has been a pivotel moment which I never thought I'd experience.  My hope is that this helps you too.

Your sessions have been a life changer

Honestly doing so well with everything - I can’t thank you enough! Your sessions have been such a life changer. I had a bit of a situation recently (something which previously would’ve set me off) but I remained calm and level headed and it was such a relief and an amazing moment! Once again thank you so much!

You’re an absolute life saver! Thank you!

Thank you for changing my life!

Thank you so much for changing my life! My husband can not believe the difference in me. This may sound dramatic but you have potentially saved my marriage!

Compassion and understanding

Linzi has been absolutely amazing for me and my son - we have come a long way with her support and are so grateful to her. She shows real compassion and understanding and I would refer her to anyone needing help and indeed have done on several occasions.

Thanks Linzi, you are a star!

Frequently asked questions

I am chronically depressed and on many meds, is this right for me?

I would say this probably isn't right for you right now.  However, that's not to say you can't give the programme a go.  Strong medications can cause many side effects and make it harder for you to experience the real benefits of how you can change your brain chemistry and neuropathways. It's entirely your decision.  Anyone taking this course should be wanting to help themselves and improve their mental wellbeing. It's about taking action and fully engaging in the techniques, changing habits and being open to positive change.

I don't have the time for therapy so will this help me?

A phrase I see often is "if you don't make time for your wellbeing, you'll be forced to make time for your illness".  In my opinion, your number one priority right now should be your wellbeing.  As they say on the airlines, always put your oxygen mask on first before helping others.  If we want to do something, we will always find the time.  If we don't, then we won't find the time.....and afterall, time is just something we have socially constructed.  We give it meaning and when we change what time means to us personally, it opens up a whole new world!

Can I connect with others who are doing this programme?

Absolutely!  Connecting with others is one of our basic human needs.  And when we have experienced devastating loss, the need becomes all the more important.  Everyone on the programme can connect via the private FB group and meet on live group calls.

What if this doesn't work for me?

It's unlikely that you will not benefit in some way by following and experiencing the programme.  As humans, we tend to think that we are what happens to us and this can't be changed, rather than thinking that we can change how we respond to what happens around us.  This programme is all about you learning how to change what's going on inside to help you live better.  When you make this work for you by fully immersing yourself and experiencing what you learn, then it will work.  If you don't, then it won't!

When things change inside you, things change around you....
