GrassRoots (Suicide Prevention App & Website)
Grassroots Suicide Prevention is proud to be an award-winning charity. They have been recognised for their outstanding work in suicide prevention, technology, and campaigning.
CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) Charity
125 lives are lost every week to suicide. And 75% of all UK suicides are male. CALM exists to change this by provoking conversation, running life-saving services, and bringing people together so they reject living miserably, get help when they need it and don’t die by suicide.
Suicide & Co (Counselling & Support)
Supporting those bereaved by suicide and opening the conversation around suicide. Helpline and Counselling services together with shared experiences.
SoBS (Survivors of Bereaved by Suicide)
SoBS exists to meet the needs and overcome the isolation experienced by people over 18 who have been bereaved by suicide. Peer to peer support groups nationwide.
The Leftover Pieces (USA / Online)
Melissa lost her son, Alex, in 2016 and since then she's been supporting parents (particularly mums) who share the same loss. She is also host of the popular Podcast of the same name which I highly recommend listening to.
Winston's Wish (for bereaved children)
The UK’s first childhood bereavement charity supporting grieving children and young people since 1992.
Andy's Man Club
ANDYSMANCLUB are real, non judgmental, talking groups for men. Creators of the viral #ITSOKAYTOTALK movement. Their aim is to halve the number of suicides in men under the age of 45. Groups around the UK and on Facebook.
Papyrus UK
Prevention of Young Suicide (under 35 years). Promoting positive mental health and emotional wellbeing. Lots of support and resources available on their website.
Rebecca Jax Healing
Rebecca is an Integrative Somatic Trauma therapist specialising in guiding those impacted by Traumatic Grief and Suicide Loss. She works with various potent Holistic Healing Modalities that meet on all levels of Mind, Body and Soul.
The Violet Project
The Violet Project provide support around suicide and self-harm. They offer free groups for self-harm support and suicide bereavement along with suicide prevention training.
Chris Meaden Therapy
Chris has extensive experience working with individual's suffering with complex trauma, PTSD, anxiety, addictions, and more. He works with clients globally over zoom and receives 5 star reviews. ...he also happens to be my husband!
Legacies Left Behind...
Olly's Talking Turtles (Olly Beswetherick)
Olly’s Talking Turtle bracelets are to share Olly’s story, encourage people to talk, reach out, seek help and to know that it’s ok to not be ok. The bracelets represent Olly’s love of turtles and support for PRIDE.
Message his family via Facebook for a bracelet and help break the stigma, one turtle at a time.
A Life of Food - Dom Stanway-Williams
This book is born of Dom’s passion for all things food-related and his family's wish that his writing, recipes and stories are brought to life, so we can all share in the food odyssey which was so central to Dom’s life. They are self-printing and distributing the book themselves.
The remaining proceeds; approx £8, will go to the Thame Food Bank and Community Larder (run by the Sharing Life Trust) who champion Food Poverty and Combating Food Waste, both causes dear to Dom’s heart.
